At the 22nd of April, 2016, the DASI conference 2016 of the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna was held in Vienna. Thomas Hackner was invited to the conference to talk about the topic "Defending the private sector" and share his knowledge in engaging discussions with other diplomats and experts ranging from military to international representatives.
The radio Ö1 was also present and interviewed Thomas Hackner on attacks on private companies. This interview was aired on the the 31st of May and can be streamed on Journal Panorama on the Ö1 web site.
