IKT Security Conference 2024
We had two great days at the Austrian IKT Security Conference 2024 from September 17 to 18 at the Vienna Exhibition Center.
There were many interesting discussions about projects and the future of red teaming and threat intelligence at our booth, when we had people stopping by or while they were participating in our colorful lock picking challenge.
Congratulations again to our winners, who were able to crack one of three selected locks within the five minute time limit and thus secured a copy of "Hacking & Security" (Rheinwerk Verlag). We are always happy to be able to introduce physical security in a fun way alongside IT security topics; be it in training courses or as part of events such as the IKT Security Conference.
We also have to celebrate a winner among our team members, as our colleague Martin not only qualified for the finale of the ACSC (Austria Cyber Security Challenge) again this year, but also proudly reached third place in the competition. Another great success, congratulations to Martin!
We have already celebrated Martin’s qualification at this "hacker championship" that requires not only excellent technical qualifications, but also creativity, perseverance and, above all, a high degree of resistance to frustration! But we are even happier that he achieved a top rank and was able to demonstrate his skills in reverse engineering, web security, cryptography, forensics, networking and Android analysis. Proofing to be “forbiddenly good”, as the Cyber Security Austria association puts it.
