it-sa 2023 - IT Security Conference
As the "Home of IT Security" and Europe's leading trade fair for IT security, it-sa 2023 took place in Nuremberg from October 10 to 12. 19,449 trade visitors from 55 countries and 795 exhibitors from 30 countries exchanged ideas about information security this year, including us from HACKNER Security.
Our start to the roadshow was particularly well received with our brand new corner stand in Hall 7 showing off fresh slogans and lots of color. There was a lot to discover but a particular highlight were our window, doors and locks.
On all three days, you could win a copy of “Hacking & Security” from Rheinwerk Verlag by taking on one of the tricky physical security challenges.
In a race against time the attendees of the challenge had to by open or crack a door, window or lock. There were three different time slots per day, in each of which a book recipient was drawn from the challenge winners. In total, nine lucky participants were able to go home with a book.
But the rest of the visitors did not leave empty-handed, because in addition to our comfortable HACKNER security benches and good coffee, there was also the opportunity to try out the practice locks or to try breaking into windows or doors at your own pace. Our colleagues, who not only teach in the areas of penetration testing and exploit development, but also in the area of physical security, were happy to accompany anyone who wanted to practice their “break-in” skills. This meant that you could take a mini-course in physical security at university level while visiting the trade fair.
In summary, we are very pleased that interest in penetration testing and physical security remains high and that interesting discussions always develop on these topics. We are also appreciative about the feedback that our combination of IT, social engineering and physical security has been perceived as unique and outstanding.
